Bucket list training certified coach with Roderick M. Mason

Leadership consulting professional with holisticcoachingsolutions.com? Connect with the people you lead by using the vision, value and voice model; i.e. communicate an inspiring vision, value people as human beings (not as a means to an end) and give them a voice. Ideally, networking is part of your daily professional activity, not just something you do when you are looking for a job. When it’s time for a career transition, you want your network to be in place already so that you can tap strong, existing professional relationships to expand your network during your search, rather than starting to build it while in transition.

When you invest into each of these training areas, your managers, supervisors, team leads would acquire enhanced communication, team work, and problem solving skills. They would be able to improve their relationship with the employees and would be able to resolve people problems in reduced time and effort. Your managers and supervisors would experience greater self and leadership awareness and higher energy levels. Further, corporate training would improve your managers and team leads’ ability to learn from a quickly changing environment.

The leaders ask each stakeholder to give her a couple of suggestions to improve in these 1-2 areas that he can implement in the next month. The leader compiles all the suggestions from stakeholders, decides to pick 2-3 suggestions, and implements the change during the month. Next month, she goes back to the stakeholders and asks for feedback for her improved behavior during the last month and more suggestions to implement in the coming month. This process continues for the period of the entire year. About every quarter, the stakeholders are given an anonymous survey to rate the leader’s improvement in these 1-2 areas. Although the process seems simple, Marshall Goldsmith’s stakeholder centered coaching is one of the most effective methods of changing the leader’s on-job behavior and stakeholder’s perception of the leader.

As we have just discussed, every thought and emotion has an environment, or context, within which it occurs. A context is a container, a parameter of truth within which we think, feel, sense and take action. Our thinking, feeling and our actions are based solely on what we say is true. Within this context, there are outcomes that are possible and outcomes that are impossible. When a client requests coaching for a particular outcome, a coach carefully listens for the context within which the client is working. The coach then empowers that client to see what is possible and impossible based on their context. From here, the client can practice taking the steps required to shift ways of being and acting to support the intended outcome.
